Kaelo’s own Co-Founder and Executive Director, Thabang Skwambane, was selected from a number of entrants as one of the ten “striding men” finalists in recognition of his achievements. These include building a successful and fast-growing corporate health & wellness and HIV/AIDS company which, in a span of only three years, has received accolades such as Impumelelo (a Top South African Empowerment Company) for BEE efforts, and led a range of high profile clients in achieving outstanding health and productivity results for their companies, their employees and their families.

“I am part of an awesome team of committed, passionate people at Kaelo and, together, we have been very successful at what we do,” said Skwambane. “This isn’t recognition for my personal achievements, but rather recognition of the blood, sweat and tears of everyone at Kaelo.”

The eventual winner of the 2008 Johnnie Walker Striding Man search was Zithulele “KK” Combi, the founder of Master Currency and a prominent businessman. In his 40+ year of doing business, he has succeeded where many have failed and is well-deserving of this outstanding recognition.
