monitoring and evaluation

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) is a key aspect of Kaelo’s business. As a proven expert and leader in the field of health and wellness, chronic conditions and HIV/AIDS, Kaelo is increasingly being engaged to consult on best practices for the implementation of workplace health initiatives.

Best Practice Reporting

As a proven expert and leader in the field of chronic health conditions and HIV/AIDS, Kaelo is increasingly being engaged by companies to guide the best practices implementation of their workplace programmes. Recently, Kaelo was awarded the contract for monitoring and evaluation of the Swedish Workplace HIV/AIDS Programme (SWHAP), being rolled out among prominent Swedish companies in Africa and funded by the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA). This is the first comprehensive qualitative and quantitative assessment of the financial and human resource benefits from sustainable programme interventions.

Objective Based Reporting

Kaelo has developed a number of outcomes-focussed reporting initiatives which provides feedback that affirms a company’s return on investment. This includes:

  1. Direct costs saved as a result of reduced absenteeism, reduced sick leave, reduced recruitment costs, reduced training costs
  2. Indirect costs saved as a result of increased productivity and reduced disability and group life costs
  3. The success of the programme, in comparison with other companies
  4. Analysis of continuous improvements in the programme, demonstrated annually, along with priority areas still requiring attention
  5. A summary of HIV/AIDS to be included in the company’s report to shareholders and group management.

AIDSRating®

Developed by Kaelo, the AIDSRating® Scorecard is a web-based corporate governance tool designed to highlight the business risks associated with HIV/AIDS and to improve and standardize measurement and reporting on the successes and challenges of HIV/AIDS programmes.
