occupational health
Occupational health is concerned with the health and safety of employees in their work environment. The aim of Kaelo’s occupational health services is to promote a healthy and safe work environment, and, in turn, healthy and productive workers.
Kaelo’s support to companies includes:
• the comprehensive management of their occupational health requirements
• the provision of medical services to employees via primary health care and chronic disease management.
Medical services are made available through the operation of an onsite occupational health facility or the provision of a transient set of services as required if no physical space for a health facility is available. In either case, Kaelo’s occupational health professionals are trained to identify, diagnose, treat and rehabilitate employees who have chronic diseases or are injured in the workplace. Some of the consulting service offerings include “walk abouts”, risk ratings, health and safety audits, hygiene measurement and medicals and screenings (including spirometry screenings, audiometry screenings, vision screenings and biological monitoring).
Kaelo’s Occupational Health initiatives are guided by existing legislation and are designed to support employers in complying with legal obligations.
