Vaccine Rollout
Since the start of the COVID-19 vaccine roll out in 2021, as of 30 January 2022, 16.4 million (41.3%) of the South African population have now been fully vaccinated.
This number has significantly risen indicating an uptake of vaccines administered amongst the South African population.
People from the ages of 12 can still get vaccinated at their nearest vaccination centres. Booster shots are now also available to individuals 60 days after their first J&J vaccine and 180 days after their second Pfizer vaccine.
